Aeration Schedule

Pine Needles Course Maintenance

Pine Needles will be aerating the course the week of 
December 9th through the 11th.

Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.

The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction. Compacted soils have too many solid particles in a certain volume or space, which prevents proper circulation of air, water and nutrients within the soil. Excess lawn thatch or heavy organic debris buried under the grass surface can also starve the roots from these essential elements.

Course Maintenance Schedule

Pine Needles Course Maintenance

Pine Needles will be  aerating  the course the week of
December 9th through the 11th.

Pine Needles will be doing a small time aerification on Monday through Wednesday so the course will be closed. We are doing this now to keep the greens in the best condition as possible as we go into 2015.

Since the winter season has arrived the mats on the main tee at Pine Needles will be our practice range for the next two months. We will not be setting the "South Tee" by the Ross Lodge over the winter. This will enable the turf to be at its best condition come spring.

Holiday Fund Contribution

Associate Holiday Fund

You should receive a mailing for the annual Associate Holiday Fund this week. To provide members a convenient way of thanking our associates, we are starting a Christmas Fund that members can contribute to voluntarily.  We will distribute these funds on your behalf to all associates so no one is excluded.

We ask that all donations are sent in by Monday, 12/15. 

If you do not respond and do not choose to "opt out" we will charge your account $100.00
