This week the members went to the 4-hole practice loop for "real-life" situation practice. The Club Championships would be the following day, so this gave the members an opportunity to work on different shots they might need assistance with.

The Golf Pros talked about how to prepare for a Tournament both physically and mentally. It is important to give yourself plenty of time when preparing for a tournament. The day of the Tournament, make sure that you warm up and take a few different shots. Often times nerves can cause the body to act faster, causing you to speed up your swing. Take a minute to focus on your tempo and balance.

Everyone's pre-game routine is different, so practice what works best for your individual needs. Mandy Moore said that she needs at least an hour to an hour and a half to focus, take a few practice shots and finish off by quietly focusing on herself. Where as Brett likes to take a quick 45-minutes and start the Tournament.

Remember, the competitor next to you, is most likely feeling the same nerves as you are!
